Professional English language qualifications and courses

Cambridge ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) has developed a suite of English qualifications which develop and assess real life business language skills.  kibu Consulting offers tuition in the higher level exams: ICFE, ILEC and BEC Higher.

ICFE, the International Certificate in Financial English, was developed in association with ACCA (the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants).  It assesses the language skills accountants and other finance professionals need to work in international business.  Details at www.FinancialEnglish.org  or click on "Finance" tab above.

ILEC, the International Legal English Certificate is a qualification for lawyers and others using legal English in business.  It was created by University of Cambridge ESOL Examinations in co-operation with Translegal, Europe's leading firm of lawyer linguists.  More on "Law" tab above and at  www.LegalEnglishTest.org

BEC is the Business English Certificate.  It is available at three levels.  The BEC Higher is graded at the C1 level of the Common European Framework for Modern Languages.  More information at  www.CambridgeESOL.org

The recently launched CFE is a blended learning course in Financial English.  The online resources are managed by a team at Cambridge.  Designed to be flexible, adaptable and personal the online components are interactive and can be completed with or without a tutor.  The writing assessment and speaking are where kibu Consulting will be able to help.    Further information here.
